Family

I recently saw a friends post on Instagram. What caught my eye wasn't the photo itself, but what it actually represents. In the photo, the text was about my friend just had a "syukuran" (type of celebration ceremony because of his recent accomplishments). His family recognized the fact he had work so hard in achieving his goals on becoming a quality paintball player, and that has been proven this last year where he racked up medals after medals to the fact he is now a national Indonesia paintball player.

This to me brings me enjoyment. Why? Because we train together. He came up to me one day and asked me to train him. All the hard work and vomitting seems to payoff, but it won't stop there.

So, whats the point on me writing this? It's about FAMILY. Whatever you do, either it's paintball or any other sport or even anything in general, the fact if you got the support from your family makes it all better. It is extremely important in my opinion that anything you do must have a solid support from your family. I myself have felt it first hand, the moment my parents gave the greenlight to me to compete in tournament paintball is the moment I got my first medal. The moment my own family supported my paintball goals was the moment I got on the national team. And the moment I lost and didn't get anything was the moment when my own daughter was wise enough to say sometimes you lose but it doesn't mean you have to quit.

The amount of support that is given to you will have a massive impact on accomplishing your goals.

Family can be more than just blood. It's a bond. And that is what D.B.E. is all about. Creating a bond with brothers in same purposes, same goals, same will. It's way more than just a team, way more than just a program. D.B.E. is Family. And like I stated before, when your family supports you no matter who you are with, no matter which team you are with, we are still one family that supports one another. Are goals will remain the same, being the best we can be but for that to happen, trust must be built.

So I've got your back, do you have mine?
